Mission Leisure Centre - Project Highlights:

Project Summary:

The first phase of development included the addition of a new NHL sized arena with new change rooms and spectator seating for 500. We also renovated the existing arena change rooms and circulation spaces. In the second phase the existing lap pool was re-built and a new leisure pool was added, as were new change facilities, a new weight/fitness room and renovated racquet courts. In the final phase a new multi-purpose room was added and a complete new lobby, administration and control centre.

TASK was also responsible for the construction of the Mission Sports Field complex that included 4 soccer fields and 8 softball diamonds. These were fully fenced and fully illuminated for nighttime usage. The work also included construction of a new field house and attendant residence as well as a score keeper/announcer/concession building.

In June 2006, this facility was presented with Recreation Facility of BC's Bill Woycik Outstanding Facility Award.
