Description

5′-Biotin-dG-Monophosphate is a modified nucleotide that combines a biotin molecule with deoxyguanosine monophosphate (dGMP) at the 5′ position of the sugar ring. Biotin-dG-Monophosphate enables affinity purification of nucleic acids or nucleic acid-binding proteins. Streptavidin-coated magnetic beads can be used to pull down biotinylated DNA or RNA molecules, facilitating isolation and purification. In reporter assays, where gene expression or promoter activity is studied, biotin-dG-Monophosphate can be incorporated into RNA molecules as a marker. This allows for tracking and quantifying RNA synthesis or degradation processes.
