Description

DM1-PEG4-DBCO is a chemical structure that consists of three main components: DM1, PEG4, and DBCO. DM1 is a potent cytotoxic agent that belongs to the maytansinoid class of drugs. It is commonly used in the development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for targeted cancer therapy. DM1 inhibits microtubule assembly, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. DBCO is a reactive functional group used in bioconjugation chemistry. It can participate in click chemistry reactions, particularly copper-free azide-alkyne cycloaddition. In this case, DBCO may serve as a linker for attaching the DM1-PEG4 conjugate to other molecules containing azide groups.
