Description

100nm DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with dansyl DOPE refers to liposomes composed of 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC) and cholesterol (CHOL), with the addition of dansyl-derivative of dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine (dansyl DOPE) as a fluorescent label. Dansyl DOPE is a derivative of dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine labeled with dansyl, a fluorescent dye. Dansyl is commonly used as a fluorophore due to its fluorescence properties. The incorporation of dansyl DOPE allows for real-time visualization and tracking of liposomes in cells, tissues, or biological samples using fluorescence microscopy. Dansyl can also be used as a FRET pair with other fluorophores, providing a tool for studying molecular interactions and conformational changes.
