BP Fluor 633 DBCO refers to a compound that combines a fluorescent dye, BP Fluor 633, with the reactive group DBCO (Dibenzocyclooctyne). BP Fluor 633 is a red fluorescent dye that emits light at around 633 nanometers. It is part of the BP (Biotium Pink) Fluor series and is frequently used for labeling biomolecules, cells, or other targets in fluorescence-based imaging studies. The excitation/emission characteristics around 633 nm make it suitable for various fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and other applications. DBCO is a reactive functional group used in bioconjugation chemistry. It can undergo click chemistry reactions, particularly copper-free azide-alkyne cycloaddition. In this case, DBCO serves as a linker for attaching the BP Fluor 633 conjugate to other molecules containing azide groups.
