Description

100nm DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with TRITC-DHPE refers to liposomes composed primarily of 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC) and cholesterol (CHOL), with a fraction of lipids labeled with tetramethylrhodamine-1,2-dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (TRITC-DHPE). TRITC-DHPE is a fluorescent lipid probe that contains a tetramethylrhodamine (TRITC) fluorophore attached to a phosphoethanolamine lipid tail. It is used to label liposomes, enabling their visualization and tracking in biological systems. DOPC/CHOL liposomes labeled with TRITC-DHPE can be employed as drug delivery vehicles. The incorporation of cholesterol enhances the stability and integrity of liposomes, while the fluorescent labeling allows for tracking their biodistribution and pharmacokinetics. These liposomes can encapsulate therapeutic agents such as drugs, nucleic acids, or imaging agents for targeted delivery to specific tissues or cells.
