Description

Disulfo-Cy5 DBCO refers to a bioconjugate compound comprising Disulfo-Cyanine5, a water-soluble variant of Cy5 fluorescent dye, and DBCO (Dibenzocyclooctyne), a reactive functional group. Disulfo-Cyanine5 is a derivative of Cy5 fluorescent dye modified with sulfonate groups, which impart water solubility to the dye. Cy5 is widely used in fluorescence imaging due to its bright emission in the near-infrared (NIR) spectrum, allowing for deep tissue penetration and reduced background autofluorescence. The DBCO functional group enables selective and efficient conjugation with azide-containing biomolecules through copper-free click chemistry. Disulfo-Cyanine5 DBCO can be employed for live-cell imaging, allowing researchers to study cellular processes and interactions in real-time. Its NIR fluorescence facilitates imaging with minimal background interference.
