Description

DOPC/CHOL/mPEG-DSPE Liposomes Labeled with NBD-PE refer to liposomes composed of a lipid mixture containing 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), cholesterol (CHOL), and polyethylene glycol (PEG)-conjugated distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DSPE), where a fraction of the lipids includes NBD-PE (N-(7-nitro-2-1,3-benzoxadiazol-4-yl)phosphatidylethanolamine). NBD-PE is a fluorescent lipid probe containing a nitrobenzoxadiazole (NBD) fluorophore, which is often used to label lipids for fluorescence microscopy studies or to monitor membrane dynamics. These labeled liposomes can be used to study cellular uptake mechanisms, intracellular trafficking, and drug delivery kinetics in vitro. The NBD fluorophore allows for visualization and tracking of liposomes within cells using fluorescence microscopy techniques.
