Description

Sulfo-Cy7 DBCO refers to a bioconjugate compound containing Sulfo-Cy7, a water-soluble variant of Cy7 cyanine dye, and DBCO (Dibenzocyclooctyne), a reactive functional group. Sulfo-Cy7 is a derivative of Cy7 fluorescent dye modified with sulfonate groups to increase water solubility. Cy7 is a near-infrared (NIR) fluorophore, emitting light in the range of 750-800 nm. NIR fluorophores like Cy7 are advantageous for imaging applications due to their deep tissue penetration and reduced autofluorescence. The DBCO functional group allows for selective and efficient conjugation with azide-containing biomolecules through copper-free click chemistry. This bioconjugation strategy enables specific labeling and modification of biomolecules for various applications, including protein labeling, cell tracking, and molecular imaging.
