Description

CHO-PEG-MAL (Aldehyde-PEG-Maleimide, ALD-PEG-MAL) is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent with aAldehyde and a Maleimide group. The aldehyde group is a carbonyl group (C=O) bonded to a hydrogen atom. PEG is a hydrophilic polymer composed of repeating ethylene glycol units. It is commonly used in bioconjugation to enhance solubility, reduce immunogenicity, and improve the pharmacokinetics of biomolecules. Maleimide is a reactive group that can selectively react with thiol groups via a thio-Michael addition reaction.
