Description

PEGylated DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with DiA refer to liposomes composed of a lipid mixture containing 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), cholesterol (CHOL), and a PEGylated lipid, where a fraction of the lipids includes a fluorescent dye called DiA (DiA = 4-(4-(dihexadecylamino)styryl)-N-methylpyridinium iodide). DiA is a lipophilic fluorescent dye that is commonly used to label lipid membranes. It incorporates into the lipid bilayer of liposomes, providing a fluorescent signal that can be detected using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. These labeled liposomes can be used for fluorescence microscopy imaging to visualize their uptake, intracellular distribution, and fate within cells. DiA incorporation allows for tracking of liposomes in real-time, enabling the study of cellular processes such as endocytosis, membrane fusion, and drug delivery mechanisms.
