Description

PEGylated DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with DiO refer to liposomes composed of a lipid mixture containing 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), cholesterol (CHOL), and a PEGylated lipid, where a fraction of the lipids includes a lipophilic fluorescent dye called DiO (DiO = 3,3′-dioctadecyloxacarbocyanine perchlorate). DiO is a lipophilic fluorescent dye that is commonly used to label lipid membranes. It incorporates into the lipid bilayer of liposomes, providing a green fluorescent signal that can be detected using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. These labeled liposomes can be utilized as biosensing platforms for detecting analytes or biomarkers. Changes in DiO fluorescence intensity or emission spectra in response to specific stimuli or interactions with target molecules can be used for sensing applications, such as diagnostic assays or drug screening.
