Description

PEGylated DOPC/CHOL/mPEG-PE Liposomes labeled with DiD refer to liposomes composed of a lipid mixture containing 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), cholesterol (CHOL), a PEGylated lipid such as mPEG-PE (polyethylene glycol-distearoylphosphatidylethanolamine), and a fraction of the lipids includes a lipophilic near-infrared fluorescent dye called DiD (DiD = 1,1′-dioctadecyl-3,3,3′,3′-tetramethylindodicarbocyanine perchlorate). DiD is a lipophilic near-infrared fluorescent dye commonly used to label liposomes for in vivo imaging. It emits fluorescence in the near-infrared region, which allows for deeper tissue penetration and reduced autofluorescence, making it ideal for in vivo imaging applications. This compound offers a versatile platform for in vivo imaging, drug delivery, theranostics, and pharmacokinetic studies, making them valuable tools in preclinical research and translational medicine.
