Description

endo-BCN-PEG4-Biotin is a compound composed of an endo-bicyclo[6.1.0]non-4-yn-9-amine (BCN) moiety linked to a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain terminated with a biotin molecule. The biotin molecule is attached to the PEG chain, which provides water solubility and flexibility, allowing the biotin group to interact with target molecules while keeping the BCN moiety accessible for further chemical reactions. Biotin binds specifically to avidin or streptavidin proteins with high affinity. Therefore, endo-BCN-PEG4-Biotin can be used to purify biotinylated molecules or complexes by immobilizing them on avidin or streptavidin-coated surfaces or beads. Biotinylated molecules can also be detected or labeled using streptavidin or avidin conjugated to reporter molecules, such as fluorophores, enzymes, or nanoparticles. Therefore, endo-BCN-PEG4-Biotin can be used to label biomolecules of interest for detection in various assays, including fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and ELISA.
