Description

MAL-NH-PEG-SPA (Maleimide-NH-PEG-Succinimidyl Propionate) can be used to label proteins or peptides containing thiol groups. The maleimide group selectively reacts with thiol groups, while the succinimidyl propionate reacts with primary amines on proteins, forming stable covalent bonds. It is also used to functionalize the surface of nanoparticles, liposomes, or other drug delivery carriers. This functionalization can provide stability and allow for the attachment of targeting ligands or other functional moieties.
