Description

DBCO-acid is a chemical compound often used in bioconjugation and chemical biology research. Its primary application lies in bioorthogonal chemistry, which involves the selective labeling of biomolecules in complex biological systems. DBCO-acid is commonly used to label biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates. It reacts specifically with azide-functionalized molecules via a copper-free click chemistry reaction known as the strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC).
