Description

DBCO-NHS (DBCO-NHS Ester) is commonly used in bioconjugation reactions to label biomolecules, such as proteins, peptides, antibodies, or nucleic acids, with DBCO groups. These labeled biomolecules can then be used for various applications, including fluorescence labeling, protein labeling, or surface functionalization. Besides, it facilitates bioorthogonal click chemistry reactions, particularly strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions. DBCO groups react selectively and rapidly with azide-containing molecules without the need for toxic catalysts, enabling site-specific labeling and modification of biomolecules in complex biological environments.
