Argatroban Liposome refers to a formulation where the anticoagulant drug argatroban is encapsulated within liposomes. Argatroban is a direct thrombin inhibitor, a type of anticoagulant medication. It inhibits the action of thrombin, an enzyme involved in the clotting process, thereby preventing the formation of blood clots. Argatroban is commonly used for the prevention and treatment of thrombosis in patients with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), a condition characterized by low platelet count and increased risk of blood clot formation.
