Description

TCO-PEG2-DBCO serves as a versatile tool in bioconjugation chemistry, enabling selective and rapid labeling, imaging, or modification of biomolecules, cells, or surfaces under mild physiological conditions. TCO is a strained cyclic alkene that is commonly used in bioconjugation chemistry. Like DBCO, TCO undergoes rapid and selective reactions with tetrazine groups via the bioorthogonal inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder (IEDDA) cycloaddition reaction. DBCO is a strained cyclooctyne ring, as mentioned earlier, commonly used in bioconjugation chemistry. It reacts with azide groups via the copper-free click chemistry reaction, forming stable triazole linkages. This reaction is highly selective and proceeds rapidly under mild conditions, making it suitable for various biological applications.
