Description

DOTA-PEG5-C6-DBCO can be used for the radiolabeling of targeting vectors (e.g., antibodies, peptides) with radiometals for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging or single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The DOTA chelator provides a stable coordination site for the radiometal, allowing for the visualization of specific biological targets. It can also be utilized for targeted radionuclide therapy by conjugating it to targeting vectors that specifically bind to receptors or antigens overexpressed on diseased cells (e.g., cancer cells). Upon internalization, the radiometal complex can deliver therapeutic doses of radiation to the targeted cells, leading to their destruction while sparing surrounding healthy tissues.
