m-PEG2-DBCO refers to a compoud comprised of PEG and DBCO. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a hydrophilic polymer widely used in various biomedical and pharmaceutical applications due to its biocompatibility and water solubility. m-PEG2 specifically indicates that it is a monomethoxy PEG with two ethylene glycol units. DBCO is a strained alkyne functional group commonly used in bioconjugation chemistry. It reacts selectively and rapidly with molecules containing strained alkenes, such as tetrazines, via strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions, forming stable triazole linkages.
