Description

m-PEG6-DBCO can be used for site-specific labeling or modification of biomolecules, such as proteins, peptides, or nucleic acids, by reacting with molecules containing strained alkenes, such as tetrazines, via SPAAC reactions. It can also be incorporated into drug delivery systems, such as nanoparticles or liposomes, to facilitate the targeted delivery of therapeutic agents (e.g., drugs, siRNA) to specific sites within the body. The DBCO group allows for the conjugation of targeting ligands or imaging probes to the surface of the drug carriers, enhancing their specificity and efficacy.
