mPEG-Amine (mPEG-NH2, Amino-PEG, Methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-Amine, Methoxy PEG Amine, Amino functionalized methoxyl polyethylene glycol) is a PEG reagent containing an amino (NH2) group. The amine group on mPEG-NH2 can be used to selectively attach the molecule to other biomolecules, such as proteins, peptides, or nanoparticles. mPEG-Amine can be used to modify drug molecules. By attaching mPEG-NH2 to a drug, it can prolong the drug’s circulation time in the bloodstream, reduce immunogenicity, and improve its bioavailability. This modification is particularly useful for developing long-acting and targeted drug delivery systems.
