Eganelisib Loaded Liposomes (Eganelisib (IPI-549) Liposomes) enables targeted delivery of the drug to tumor tissues and the tumor microenvironment, where PI3K-gamma inhibition is desired to modulate the immune response against cancer cells. Eganelisib, also known as IPI-549, is an investigational small molecule inhibitor of phosphoinositide-3-kinase-gamma (PI3K-gamma). It works by selectively inhibiting PI3K-gamma, a signaling enzyme involved in immune cell regulation within the tumor microenvironment. By inhibiting PI3K-gamma, eganelisib aims to modulate the tumor immune microenvironment, promoting an anti-tumor immune response and enhancing the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy.
