Description

Folate-PEG-Amine (Folic Acid-PEG-NH2, Folic acid-PEG-amine, Folate-PEG-NH2, Folate-Poly(ethylene glycol)-Amine) is a PEG derivative with folate moiety which can bind to specific receptor on the surface of a broad spectrum of solid tumor cells. It has been shown promising in mediating (site specific) uptake of various drugs by targeting the folate receptor. The terminal amine can react with a variety of functional groups, such as succinimidyl ester (NHS) or carboxylic acid (COOH) in the presence of HATU or EDC.
