Description

2′-O-TBDMS-Paclitaxel refers to a modified form of paclitaxel where the 2′-hydroxyl group of the paclitaxel molecule is protected with TBDMS (tert-butyldimethylsilyl) group. This modification is often employed in organic synthesis as a means to temporarily block a functional group in order to direct specific chemical reactions or to enhance the stability of the molecule. The TBDMS protecting group can later be selectively removed under appropriate conditions, allowing the 2′-hydroxyl group to become reactive again.
