Description

Boc-O-SN-38 is a modified form of SN-38 that has a protective group called a Boc (tert-butoxycarbonyl) group attached to it. This modification can alter the pharmacological properties of SN-38, such as its solubility or stability, which may be advantageous for drug development purposes. The Boc group can be selectively removed in the body, releasing the active form of SN-38, which then exerts its anti-cancer effects by inhibiting topoisomerase I enzyme activity, leading to DNA damage and ultimately cell death in cancer cells.
