Description

Exatecan Mesylate is a salt form of exatecan, a synthetic derivative of camptothecin with potent anticancer properties. Exatecan mesylate has been studied in clinical trials for the treatment of different types of cancer, including ovarian cancer, small cell lung cancer, and pancreatic cancer. It is also used as a chemotherapy medication. It belongs to the class of topoisomerase I inhibitors, which work by interfering with the function of the enzyme topoisomerase I, leading to DNA damage and ultimately cell death in cancer cells.
