Description

Bis-sulfone Amine refers to a molecule containing two sulfone functional groups (SO2) and at least one amine group (-NH2). Sulfones are compounds containing a sulfonyl group (SO2) bonded to two organic substituents, while amines are organic compounds containing a basic nitrogen atom bonded to hydrogen atoms or carbon groups. Bis-sulfone amines can be used as crosslinking agents in polymer chemistry, particularly in the synthesis of thermosetting resins. The sulfone groups can react with nucleophilic sites on polymers, forming covalent bonds and enhancing the material’s mechanical properties and thermal stability.
