Description

Biotin-PEG4-Amide-PEG8-3,4-Dibromo-Mal is a PEG linker featuring a dibromo-maleimide linked to a biotin group. Biotin can selectively bind to avidin or streptavidin proteins, allowing for the attachment of the compound to biotinylated proteins. This can be useful in various protein labeling applications, such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). The maleimide group of 3,4-Dibromo-Mal can react selectively with thiol groups (-SH) present in proteins or peptides, enabling site-specific conjugation.
