N-(amine-PEG8)-N-bis(PEG8-azide) consists of a PEG backbone with two different functional groups attached: an amine group at one end and two azide groups at the other end. The amine and azide groups can be utilized for bioconjugation reactions, such as click chemistry, to attach molecules of interest, such as proteins, peptides, drugs, or imaging agents, to the PEG backbone. PEGylation, the process of attaching PEG chains to drugs or drug carriers, can improve their pharmacokinetic properties, stability, and biocompatibility. This compound can be used to prepare PEGylated drug delivery systems.
