Poly(L-Arginine Hydrochloride) (Poly-L-Arginine HCl) is a polycationic polymer derived from the amino acid L-arginine. It is a water-soluble polymer with a cationic charge due to the presence of amino groups in its structure. Poly(L-Arginine Hydrochloride) can be used for gene delivery applications. The positive charge allows the polymer to interact with negatively charged nucleic acids (DNA or RNA), forming complexes or nanoparticles that can be used for the delivery of genetic material.
