Description

DBCO-C5-Acid is a variant of dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO) modified with a carboxylic acid functional group and a short alkyl linker (five carbons in length) attached to the DBCO moiety. The carboxylic acid functional group in DBCO-C5-Acid provides additional versatility for conjugation strategies, enabling coupling with amino groups using carbodiimide chemistry or other coupling chemistries. The short alkyl linker (five carbons) between the carboxylic acid and the DBCO moiety helps optimize the spatial orientation of the reactive groups, potentially enhancing the efficiency and selectivity of the bioconjugation reactions.
