Description

Sulfo DBCO-PEG3-Acid is particularly useful in copper-free click chemistry reactions, specifically strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC). This reaction allows for selective and bioorthogonal conjugation of azide-functionalized molecules with Sulfo DBCO-PEG3-Acid-tagged biomolecules in complex biological environments without the need for toxic copper catalysts. In addition, the carboxylic acid functional group in Sulfo DBCO-PEG3-Acid can serve as a reactive handle for further bioconjugation reactions. It enables the immobilization of proteins, enzymes, or other biomolecules onto surfaces, such as glass slides or microplates, for applications in protein microarrays, enzyme assays, or biosensors.
