Monoethoxylsilane-PEG-COOH (Monoethoxylsilane-PEG-Acid) refers to a compound that consists of monoethoxysilane linked to polyethylene glycol (PEG) and terminated with a carboxylic acid group (COOH). Monoethoxysilane is an organosilane compound containing a silicon atom bonded to a single ethoxy group. Silane compounds are known for their ability to form strong covalent bonds with surfaces, especially those with silanol (Si-OH) groups. Monoethoxysilane-PEG-COOH can be used for modifying surfaces, especially those with silanol groups.
