CHA is a bioactive ceramic that mimics the mineral component of natural bone. Incorporating CHA into electrospun scaffolds enhances their osteoconductivity, promoting cell attachment, proliferation, and differentiation. PCL provides mechanical strength and stability to the scaffold, while silk fibroin enhances its elasticity and flexibility. The combination of PCL, silk fibroin, and CHA results in a scaffold with biomechanical properties closer to those of natural bone, making it suitable for load-bearing applications.
