Heptakis(6-Iodo-6-Deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin or Heptakis(6-Iodo-6-Deoxy)-Beta-Cyclodextrin or Per-6-Iodo-Beta-Cyclodextrin or Iodo Beta Cyclodextrin is a modified form of β-cyclodextrin, a cyclic oligosaccharide composed of seven glucose units linked by α-1,4 glycosidic bonds. Cyclodextrins are used in chromatography and other separation techniques for the separation and purification of organic compounds. Heptakis(6-iodo-6-deoxy)-β-cyclodextrin can be employed as a chiral selector in chiral chromatography for the resolution of enantiomers.
