t-Boc-N-amido-PEG1-NHS ester refers to a compound where a PEG chain (with one ethylene glycol unit) is attached to an NHS ester functional group via an amide linkage, and the amine-reactive NHS ester group is protected by the t-Boc group. t-Boc is a protecting group commonly used in organic synthesis to temporarily mask or protect amine functional groups. NHS esters (N-hydroxysuccinimide esters) are commonly used as reactive intermediates in bioconjugation reactions. They react with primary amines (such as the amino groups in proteins) to form stable amide bonds.
