3,​3′,​3”-​(1,​3,​5-​benzenetriyl)​tris-2-​Propenoic acid or 1,​3,​5-​Tris(2-​carboxyvinyl)​benzene or BTAC or H3BTAC or 1,​3,​5-​Benzenetriacrylic acid is composed of a benzene ring substituted with three propenoic acid (also known as acrylic acid) groups at the 1, 3, and 5 positions. The presence of unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds in the propenoic acid groups makes the compound suitable for polymerization reactions. It can be polymerized to form polyacrylic acid or copolymerized with other monomers to produce various types of functional polymers with applications in coatings, adhesives, and biomedical materials.
