N-3-[2-[2-(3-Azidopropoxy)ethoxy]ethoxy]propyl-biotinamide is a complex molecule that contains a biotinamide group attached to a chain of ethylene oxide units, with a propoxy group at one end and an azide group attached to that. Biotin is widely used in biochemistry and molecular biology for its strong affinity to avidin/streptavidin proteins. The biotinamide group in this compound can be used for labeling biomolecules (such as proteins or nucleic acids) with biotin, which can then be detected or isolated using avidin/streptavidin-based methods.
