6-deoxy-6-[(5/6)-fluoresceinylthioureido]-CMBCD sodium salt or FITC-NH-CMBCD is a compound formed by modifying randomly methylated-beta-cyclodextrin (RMBCD) with a fluoresceinylthioureido group and then neutralizing it with sodium ions. CMBCD-based derivatives are known for their ability to form inclusion complexes with guest molecules. The modification with fluoresceinylthioureido moiety may enable specific molecular recognition and binding events, useful in drug delivery, separation, or sensing applications.
