Description

Fmoc-NMe-PEG2-acid has been widely used in peptide systhesis. The Fmoc group on Fmoc-NMe-PEG2-acid serves to protect the N-terminus of peptides during solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). This protection prevents undesired side reactions and allows for controlled stepwise elongation of peptides. The PEG2 spacer provides flexibility and solubility to the peptide conjugate. It can adjust the distance between the peptide and other molecules or surfaces, which is useful for bioconjugation and molecular recognition studies.
