Description

Cholesterol functionalized polyethylene glycol with conjugated terminal biotin (Cholesterol-PEG-Biotin, CLS-PEG-Biotin, Cholesterol-PEG-Bio, CHOL-PEG-Biotin) can be incorporated into liposomes, which are artificial vesicles used to deliver drugs or encapsulate biomolecules. Biotin acts as a functional group that can later be used for attaching targeting ligands or other molecules of interest via streptavidin-biotin interactions.
