Description

Biotin-Bradykinin refers to a molecular construct where biotin, a small molecule, is covalently attached to bradykinin, a peptide involved in various physiological processes, primarily through its action on bradykinin receptors. Bradykinin is a nonapeptide (nine amino acid peptide) that functions as a potent vasodilator and mediator of inflammation by binding to bradykinin receptors (B1 and B2 receptors). Biotin-Bradykinin can be used to study interactions with bradykinin receptors (B1 and B2). This includes receptor binding assays, competitive binding studies, and investigating downstream signaling pathways activated by bradykinin. It is also utilized in affinity purification experiments allows for the identification and isolation of bradykinin-binding proteins from complex biological samples. Streptavidin-coated beads or surfaces can capture biotin-Bradykinin complexes, facilitating proteomic analyses to identify interacting proteins.
