Description

Biotin-PEG-SG (Biotin-PEG-Succinimidyl Glutarate Ester) is employed in the construction of biosensors for detecting biomolecules or analytes of interest. For example, biotinylated antibodies or receptors can be immobilized on sensor surfaces to capture target analytes, which are then detected via streptavidin or avidin-mediated signal amplification. In proximity labeling techniques such as BioID (Biotin identification), Biotin-PEG-Succinimidyl Glutarate Ester can be used to biotinylate proteins in their native cellular context. This allows for the identification of protein-protein interactions and spatial proteomics studies.
