Description

(+)-Biotin-NHS Ester is used to label proteins and other biomolecules. The NHS ester group reacts selectively with primary amines on the target molecule, such as lysine residues or the N-terminus of proteins, forming covalent bonds. This biotinylation allows for subsequent detection, purification, or immobilization using streptavidin or avidin. NHS Ester is a chemical group that reacts specifically with primary amines (-NH₂) under mild conditions to form stable amide bonds. This reaction is commonly used in bioconjugation to attach biotin to proteins, peptides, antibodies, or other molecules.
