Description

Dde Biotin-Alkyne can be used in drug discovery assays and chemical biology studies to label small molecules or probe libraries with biotin tags. This facilitates the identification of drug targets, characterization of drug-protein interactions, and screening of compound libraries. In addition, the Dde protecting group masks primary amines on proteins or other biomolecules. This allows for selective labeling of proteins containing free amino groups with biotin using the alkyne functionality. After conjugation, streptavidin-coated beads or plates can be used to isolate the biotinylated proteins, facilitating downstream applications such as affinity purification or protein-protein interaction studies.
