Description

PC Biotin-Azide can be used in bioorthogonal labeling strategies to specifically label proteins in complex biological samples. This involves metabolic labeling or direct labeling of proteins containing azide-modified amino acids or residues. In addition, it can label nucleic acids for FISH assays, where biotinylated probes hybridize to specific DNA or RNA sequences. Streptavidin-fluorophore conjugates then visualize the labeled nucleic acids under a microscope.
