Description

PLA-PEG-Bio or Poly(lactic acid)-Poly(ethylene glycol)-Biotin can fabricate scaffolds or matrices for tissue engineering applications. Biotinylated growth factors or bioactive molecules can be immobilized on the scaffold surface to promote cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. In addition, it can be used in diagnostic assays based on streptavidin-biotin interactions. Biotinylated probes or nanoparticles enable sensitive detection of biomarkers or pathogens in clinical samples.
