Description

Biotin-EDA-PEG4-PFP enables specific labeling of proteins with biotin tags. Biotinylated proteins can be detected or immobilized using streptavidin or avidin-based detection methods, facilitating protein purification, detection assays, or imaging studies. EDA is a bifunctional linker molecule containing two amino groups (-NH2). It serves as a spacer arm, allowing flexibility and accessibility for subsequent conjugation reactions. PFP is a reactive group often used in bioconjugation chemistry for coupling reactions with primary amines (-NH2). The PFP group reacts with amino groups under mild conditions to form stable amide bonds.
